ABOUT ME

Al Bastin (they/them) is a non-binary performance artist hailing from St. Louis, Missouri. They are a recent graduate from the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University with a BFA in Acting. They indulge in music, predominantly in voice, guitar, and piano, but have explored many instruments as well as music production. As a trans artist, they love to lend their curious perspective to devised work as well as the classics!

Some of their favorite credits include The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Romeo & Juliet, American Idiot, and The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe, featuring a non-binary #00. Al’s passion for storytelling is fierce in itself, but the positive responses to their work have made a great impact on their community. They hope to inspire an openness that fuels an authentic sense of play!

When Al isn’t conquering the dramatic world you can find them experimenting in the kitchen, going to drag shows, or cuddling with their dog - Ellie.
